This course is designed for teachers who want to address inequities in their classrooms with practical, real-time skills. By making your classroom student-centered, listening to students, and developing cultural responsiveness, you can ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed. This course will also provide strategies and tips for transforming your classroom into a culture of true learning and thinking.

This offering will help educators explore positive ways to manage difficult student behavior in the classroom.  Using evidence-based universal positive approaches such as PBIS, Responsive Classroom and Restorative Practices, participants will explore practices and principles that can reduce the amount of time disciplining student behavior while improving classroom climate.  

Specially designed instruction in IEP's consist of various adaptations to meet individual student needs, but how much do you know about these adaptations? Which are accommodations and which are modifications? What level of support is needed? How do adaptations provided now effect future success in post-secondary environments? Answer these questions and many more through this asynchronous training. (plan for 2 hours to complete)

This training will review components of compliance and best practices for the development of the IEP meeting invitation and the IEP. 

This training will share some great tech tools to help students with writing difficulties.  You will learn about tools including pencil grips, adaptive paper, graphic organizers, on-screen keyboards, word prediction and more.  

In this training, participants will explore proven strategies for building a productive and positive learning environment that fosters academic success and emotional and social development in students in the early elementary grade levels.  Learners will be invited to consider new ways to manage classroom behavior to maximize student engagement and foster a positive climate in the primary grades.
